A metaverse festival bringing together the biggest names in art, fashion, music, and retail in a fully open-world virtual experience.
We rebuilt and rebranded Complex Network’s annual ComplexLand event into a metaverse festival featuring some of the biggest names in art, fashion, music and retail. The challenge was to bring the excitement of an in-person event to a virtual space. A WebGL-powered open world experience, ComplexLand 2.0 allowed people to customise an avatar and dress it in branded apparel, roam between stages/storefronts, snag exclusive drops, experience live music, and even order real-world food delivery. All powered by third-party integrations with Shopify and Radio.co.
Production Scope: Led the WebGL build and third-party integrations through to brand partner management across various brands including Timberland and Gucci. I managed stakeholder relationships directly with Complex Networks and participating brands, coordinated development workstreams, and kept a complex, multi-layered production moving on time for a live multi-day launch.
